Validation and Verification Engineers (Aviation)


Location:
Melbourne, Australia

Role:

  • Devising and defining test procedures and associated scenarios for the purpose of validation of the software
  • Ensuring the quality of the software by testing each software version
  • Ensuring the timely delivery of test procedures and associated documentation
  • Verifying the impact of System Engineering Change Requests
  • Providing cost evaluation for Validation & Verification(V&V) Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Ensuring that V&V processes are correctly followed and adhered to

Requirements:

  • Proven software testing experience of at least 5 years in a real time environment, preferably large and complex projects in real time
  • Previous demonstrated experience in using the Instructional Method
  • Previous demonstrated experience in Problem Identification and Analysis
  • Previous demonstrated experience in System Requirements Analysis
  • High level of experience in testing applications under the UNIX platform.
  • Capabilities in Shell scripting, PERL scripting
  • Significant level of experience in the validation and verification process
  • Solid Manual Testing experience
  • Proven Management Skills in Technical Environment

Software Configuration Engineer


Location:
Melbourne, Australia

Role:

  • Maintain the consistency between the different software branches
  • Assist during software deliveries
  • Improve tools and environment to facilitate works of the engineering team


Main Responsibilities:

  • Organize and lead software configuration inside the organization and to select and schedule the different import and ensure relevant imports are made on the different branches
  • Manage the synchronization of the different imports into the main development branch and participate actively in the common strategy to merge all projects in one final software branch
  • Assist and manage software delivery and synchronization with existing and potential sub-contractors
  • Maintain consistency between different software branches of the organisation
  • Provide assistance to create, update, merge, tag … the different software branches of the organisation
  • Assist in the software configuration management area of projects
  • Present and train the relevant members of the team on the different tools and methods deployed and used in the organisation


Technical Skills and Qualifications required:


Ideally, you will hold more than 5 years of experience in a large real time or telecommunication environment.

Engineering or Computer Science Degree or equivalent.

Experience :

  • Software development in real-time systems: 5+ years
  • Programming languages (C, ADA, shell scripts): 5+ years
  • UNIX operating system, X programming: 3+ years
  • Demonstrated experience in using software configuration management tools (for example, IBM Rational ClearCase)
