The Performance Engineer will be responsible for testing components as well as web-based software systems that are internally developed.

Experience with a formal QA methodology is required, along with experience determining what to optimize for an aggressive schedule without violating the integrity of a test.

Design, write, develop and execute tests for business requirements that are scalable, repeatable and measurable.
Utilizes technology-based tools for analysis and troubleshooting
Develop and execute project tasks and plans that meet time lines and release requirements.
Expertise is designing, coordinating and executing Benchmark/Performance tests.
Create scenarios for executing various performance tests such as load, performance and reliability testing.
Review product documentation and write test cases; Generate test data for performance testing.
Configure test environments, servers, monitor performance tests and identify application bottlenecks.
Take ownership of defects found during performance testing and provide solutions to developers to fix/verify.
Contribute to the process of system tuning to improve its performance based on performance test results.
Automation of performance and scalability test case execution and analysis using automation tools.
Requirements:
BA/BS Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 4 years of experience relating to performance testing of Enterprise Applications and Java Technologies and architecture.
Performance test design and execution using Mercury's LoadRunner or Compuware's QALoad

Experience in performing stress/performance testing of web based applications.
