Delta Air Lines suffered a technical problem over the weekend, causing over 70 flights to be delayed or cancelled. The computer problem grounded Delta Air Lines' flights to and from Atlanta for more than six hours, forcing the carrier to cancel 40 flights on Saturday (1 May). A further 32 flights were delayed early Sunday (2 May). According to the US Federal Aviation Administration, Delta encountered a problem with computers used to calculate weight and balance and to handle pre-flight and gate information. The airline is currently still investigating the problem, reported The Associated Press. |
